One night, I drank too much. Again. And as I stared at the ceiling, a feeling hit me like a ton of bricks: I had become what I feared most. The parts of my mother's legacy I had sworn I'd never repeat. The same quiet suffering, deep disconnection, and unspoken pain she struggled with until her death at 44, had followed me into adulthood, into business and into leadership.

That moment didn't just wake me up.

It broke me open.

And from that place, raw, sober, and surrendered, I began the real work. Recovery. Daily meetings. Therapy. Somatic healing. Spiritual practice. Nervous system repair. Owning my story. Rewriting it. Every damn day, for years on end and still counting.

Eventually, I rose from it.

I also realized that all the years prior while coaching women in dental (and even still with my private coaching practice) I saw it everywhere:
